The National Weather Service out of Cheyenne says there is potential for some scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon.

Some of the storms in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle could produce strong winds and small hail.

They say winds could blow up to 55 miles per hour at times. The hail could be up to pea-sized.

According to NWS, the biggest chance for the storms to develop is between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Scattered rain showers have been seen across the Panhandle Friday morning. Some of those storms could have also produced small hail, according to the NWS.
