SIDNEY - While the status of the baseball and softball seasons in Sidney hangs in the balance, the Cheyenne County Community Center is recommending parents register their children online for the summer season.

A final decision on the upcoming season, at all levels, will be made in the next few weeks, according to Sports Director Curtis Hofrock.

"We certainly are in uncertain times right now, but if folks would register their kids it surely will make the transition to playing a lot simpler," Hofrock said. "This way we can get kids put on teams prior to even being told that we can play."

To register, visit ccccsidney.com and select the appropriate program. When on the payment screen, there will be a section at the top that says "Credit Card." Change that to "Check." This will allow you to register your child and delay payment until the season begins.

"This will allow us to have numbers of players and teams assigned, so in the event that Gov. Pete Ricketts allows us to begin play in June, we can do that will little effort,?" according to Hofrock.

For questions, call Curtis Hofrock at (308) 254-7000 or email [email protected].
