Snow is piling up across Nebraska.

Th video above shows scenes from O'Neill and North Platte this morning.  Forecasters predicted northeast and north central Nebraska would receive some of the highest snow totals in the state. The National Weather Service expects Holt County to end up with five to nine inches.

High wind gusts are expected to reduce visibility on roads throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The Nebraska Department of Transportation lists most highways in the region as partially or completely covered with snow.

There are some early snow totals coming in. These numbers are from the National Weather Service as of 4:15 p.m.

Alliance: 2 inches

Anselmo: 4 inches

Atkinson: 6 inches

Bassett: 2 inches

Big Springs: 3 inches

Bloomfield: 6 inches

Crawford: 4.5 inches

Gordon: 6 inches

North Platte: 1.5 inches

Valentine: 6 inches
