Grand Island experiencing power outages

GRAND ISLAND - Residents in the Grand Island area may be experiencing power outages Sunday morning.

A voice message on the Southern Power District's phone line said there was power failure throughout its service area caused by transmission failure from high winds.

It said crews were working to restore the power but that it had no estimated time frame.
