NORTH PLATTE - Easter is associated with Spring but the holiday weekend will feel very wintry for many in Nebraska.
The National Weather Service's office in North Platte has issued a winter storm watch for 20 different central Nebraska counties from Saturday evening to Sunday evening.
Forecasters say an arctic cold front will be moving in Saturday, turning rain to snow.
The NWS says anywhere from four to eight inches of snow could fall by Sunday evening in the middle of the state.
The rest of the state won't be escaping the winter weather. Areas of northeast Nebraska could see up to 6 inches of snow. Similar amounts are expected in portions of northwest Nebraska.
