A Search Warrant was served Sunday morning at Apartment 303 at Parkview Apartments in Fairbury.

According to a Press Release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department items discovered included marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the distribution of controlled substances.  The occupant of the apartment, Charles D. Johnson of Fairbury was arrested on several drug charges including possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine),  as well as possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 Authorities also discovered that a female subject had interfered with the service of the Search Warrant by notifying the suspect of the impending warrant.  The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department then arrested Misty Clauson for Interfering with Government Operations, as well alleged possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Nels Sorensen says this matter remains under investigation.
