Imperial man arrested for sexual assault of a child

IMPERIAL - An Imperial man is arrested for sexually assaulting a child.

66-year-old Richard Butt is now in jail after he was arrested on Monday.

Nebraska State Patrol Investigators say the assaults started in 2015 and continued until this year. Investigators were told by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services about a series of assaults.

Butt faces two charges; 1st degree sexual assault of a child and 3rd degree sexual assault of a child.

Officials say additional charges are possible
