Fire burns outbuilding about five miles north of Liberty
BEATRICE – Blue Springs and Barneston Firefighters were sent to a structure fire, north of Liberty, Wednesday night.
Southeast Communications Dispatch Center in Beatrice sent units to an area near East Oak and South 176th Road, just after eight p.m. The fire, along the south side of Oak Road, involved an outbuilding and some surrounding grass. The flames were also threatening a second structure.
Authorities said there was no burn permit application for that location.

The fire was declared under control at 8:54 p.m. A Nebraska Fire Marshal Deputy and a Norris Public Power crew were summoned to the scene.
There was no word on whether anyone was injured. The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
