Columbus United Way sets up fund for COVID-19 relief

COLUMBUS - The Columbus United Way has set up a COVID-19 fund to help ease some of the burdens folks are dealing with during this difficult time.
Executive director Hope Freshour said proceeds will go toward non-profit organizations for programs that help people with basic needs, such as food, rent, utilities, clothing and medical.
"Our goal is to maintain that...level where people know that services are in place that they can get and access those resources and that they are available to help during this time,” Freshour said.
Freshour said schools are also potential recipients.
