KEARNEY – A UNK Professor is not letting school closures or social distancing stop her from teaching.
Dr. Letitia Reichart-Long is an associate professor at University of Nebraska Kearney, and as she prepares to take her college lessons onto an online platform, she is also making lesson plans for kids.
Dr. Letty, as the kids call her, is hosting fun science experiments from her kitchen on Facebook Live. She says the idea is to help entertain kids, while keeping their minds engaged.
Dr. Letty also says she wants to help parents who are now faced with the challenge of keeping their young ones entertained 24/7.
Her experiments give these parents a new fun outlet for their kids, where they don’t have the tough task of coming up with ideas or leading the charge.
