SIDNEY, NE - The Nebraska Panhandle is starting to see impacts from snowfall as a winter storm makes its way through the area.

The Nebraska 511 map shows at about 12:30 p.m. MDT Thursday multiple state highways and portions of Interstate 80 partially covered in snow, ice or slush.

The Nebraska DOT has advised against travel as the storm passes through the area. Snowfall combined with high will cause blizzard like conditions, making travel very difficult this afternoon.

A blizzard warning remains in effect for Cheyenne, Kimball, Deuel, Morrill, Banner and Scotts Bluff counties in the Panhandle until 6:00 a.m. MDT Friday.
