KNOX COUNTY, NE - A northeast Nebraska man has tested positive for COVID-19.

The North Central District Health Department announced Tuesday afternoon that a Knox County man in his 30s has contracted the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Officials say the man recently traveled to a state where there is a community transmission of COVID-19. The man is self-isolating at home.

Possible exposure times:

Sunday, March 15th from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM at Country Market in Bloomfield, NE

Saturday, March 14th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Dollar General in Hooper, NE

The Health Department says the exposures are considered low risk.

The positive test brings Nebraska's total to 21 cases. Only two cases have been from outside of the Omaha area and only one case is considered community spread.
