NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A North Platte home improvement store is closing. Bloedorn Lumber is laying off its eleven employees and will shut it's gate in the next 30 to 60 days.

A corporate Bloedorn representative says the store opened 17 years ago. Officials say they will be dividing their assets among 25 other locations.

The reason for the closure is the store not being profitable.

The company says in a press release, "In addition to the community, our associates at our location are hardworking, quality, and dedicated individuals. The decision to close this location has not been an easy one."
