Sidney Fire battles structure fire early Wednesday morning
SIDNEY, NE - The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department battled a structure fire on the east side of Sidney early Wednesday morning.

SIDNEY, NE - A house in Sidney suffered heavy damage during a fire early Wednesday morning.
According to Sidney Fire Chief LaVerne Bown, the first reports of the fire came in just at about 3:30 a.m.
First responders arrived to find an unoccupied house near Greenwood Road and Dixon Drive on the east side of Sidney on fire.
Crews battled the flames through the early morning hours of Wednesday. Fire Chief LaVerne Bown says the fire was brought under control at about 5:00 a.m.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal's office.
17 firefighters responded to the blaze for the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department and Sidney Police Department responded to the fire.
