Parts of Nebraska Panhandle placed in Red Flag Warning for Wednesday
SIDNEY, NE - The National Weather Service out of Cheyenne and North Platte have issued Red Flag warnings for parts of western Nebraska for Wednesday.

SIDNEY, NE - The National Weather Service out of Cheyenne and North Platte have issued Red Flag warnings for parts of western Nebraska for Wednesday.
The warning goes into effect from 11:00 a.m. MST to 5:00 p.m. MST.
A Red Flag warning means critical fire weather conditions are occurring or will occur shortly, according to the NWS.
The Eastern Panhandle, including Sheridan, Garden and Deuel counties are included. Other Panhandle counties, Box Butte and the southern part of Sioux County are included.
Several other parts of southwest Nebraska and central Nebraska are included.
Outdoor burning is not recommended during Red Flag warnings. Any fires that do start can spread very quickly due to high winds and low humidity.
Highs are expected to be 15 to 20 degrees above normal on Wednesday. Winds will gust as high as 40 miles per hour and humidity may be as low as 15 percent in some areas.
