LYMAN, Neb. - (KNEP) - With a pending child abuse case in another county, a Lyman man is facing more child abuse charges in Scotts Bluff County.

According to the affidavit, the victim was originally transported to Regional West Medical Center but has since gone to Children’s Hospital in Denver. Justin Hines told officers the victim allegedly fell and hit their head.

A child abuse team converged in Denver to discuss their findings which detail the injuries sustained, which appear to be a fractured skull, are not consistent of a fall.

Hines is facing two misdemeanor counts and one felony count with a bond set at $100,000 for this case. He is also facing a strangulation and two felony child abuse counts in Douglas County.
