Officials: Coronavirus Sparks Need for Flood-Like Emergency Planning

More local fall-out from the Coronavirus and a lot of it sounds like last year's flood warnings.
Health officials in the Omaha metro are urging folks to brace themselves for the unknown.
The Douglas County Health Department is asking families to prepare for what it calls, "The rapidly changing course of this outbreak and potential" spreading.
The experts go on to say that families need to have a flood-like plan in place that includes a two-week supply of food, bottled water, and medicine on hand.
Federal health officials tell us that there are 82,000 cases worldwide, the vast majority in China, although it has spread to at least a dozen other countries.
There are 60 confirmed cases in the United States with no deaths.
Douglas County says it is monitoring travelers who have returned home from China, reviewing its pandemic plans and reaching out to schools ready to provide additional planning.
