Neapco Employees Efforts Toward Continuous Improvement, Lead to Food Pantry Donation
Neapco employees efforts raise support for local food pantry

BEATRICE – A group of employees at Neapco Manufacturing are helping out a local non-profit by winning the company’s annual Five-S Continuous Improvement program, this year.
The auto block cell employees’ efforts translated into a $2,000 donation by Neapco to a non-profit chosen by the winning workers. Steve Lemka, the Continuous Improvement Technician at Neapco in the Gage County Industrial Park said the winning employees chose to have a company donation go for food assistance for those in need.
This year, the winning employees chose the Community Food Pantry and Emergency Services, located at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice.
Karen Mains of the Food Pantry accepted the donation Thursday morning, at Neapco, Manufacturing.
Mains says the money will go a long way in helping the pantry purchase food to help those in need. Neapco President Phil Cushman thanked the winning employees for their efforts toward excellence.
The program that benefits a local non-profit is in its fifth year. Monthly employee winners are named, with the overall winning employee group selected from the monthly winners.
Neapco, a maker of driveline components, employs over 400 people, including about 140 in its manufacturing process at their Gage County Industrial Park facilities.
