NORTH PLATTE - Scottsbluff senior Yara Garcia scored a game-high 29 points, but North Platte had four players in double-figures, and the Bulldogs defeated the No. 4 Bearcats, 69-58, Thursday in North Platte.

Junior Gracie Haneborg, playing in her second game since missing two weeks due to a wrist injury, led North Platte (16-4) with 16 points. She is two points shy of 1,000 points for her career. Freshman Carly Purdy and junior Abby Orr each had 12 points. Orr scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half. Senior Rylee Kurth hit three three-pointers and finished with 10 points.

Sophomore Brady Laucomer chipped in 11 points for Scottsbluff (12-10).

The Bulldogs finished 2-0 vs. the Bearcats this season. They also won their matchup in the GNAC Tournament on Jan. 4, 64-54.

North Platte wraps up the regular season on Friday at home vs. Gering. Scottsbluff travels to McCook on Friday before playing Gering in the B-8 Subdistrict Tournament on Monday in Sidney.
