NORFOLK - The Lady Warriors (17-3) and Lady Knights (14-5) will give us a preview of next week's regular season's matchup after both punching their tickets to the Mid-States Conference championship game Thursday night on the NECC campus.

Norfolk Catholic held off a tenacious Guardian Angels Central Catholic squad 54-47, as Hanna Nessen lit the spark with a steal and buzzer-beating 3-point bankshot to end the first period. The Lady Knights stayed in front for most of the contest, as Abby Miller led the way with 15 points and several tough rebounds in the paint. Sophia Hass did her part for the Lady Jays (16-3), leading all scorers with 20.

Crofton dominated Battle Creek (14-6) right out of the gate and never looked back, leading by 15 at the half and closing out the Bravettes with a 66-39 drubbing. Ella Wragge and Alexis Folkers lit up the scoreboard, finishing with 15 and 14 points respectively. Riley Seifert did her best to keep Battle Creek in it, with a team-high 15 points.

Norfolk Catholic and Crofton tangle for the title Saturday night at Wayne State, before meeting again on the regular-season schedule next Thursday.
