BEATRICE - Prosecutors played a recorded law enforcement interview with Josh Keadle Tuesday morning, during the trial charging Keadle with first degree murder.
In the December 6th, 2010 interview, a sometimes defensive Keadle denies having anything to do with Tyler Thomas’ disappearance, but later acknowledges going down to a boat dock area of the Missouri River, to smoke marijuana. Prosecutors have alleged Thomas was killed and dumped in the river.

The interview, by Nebraska State Patrol investigators Monty Lovelace, Brandon Sorgrenfrei and the FBI’s John Daugherty was conducted three days after Thomas went missing. She’s never been found.

The interview focuses on the timeline of events…..Keadle going to a movie with others in Nebraska City, returning to Peru, remembering seeing Tyler Thomas walking toward a campus complex and then going to his dorm room after feeling ill.
Asked by investigators what Keadle believes happened to Tyler, he told them he believed Thomas got into an argument with her friends and decided to walk to Omaha. He denied having anything to do with Thomas' disappearance.

During the interrogation, Keadle later admits to going to the boat dock by the river…around 2:30 in the morning, December 3rd. He admitted leaving that out during an initial interview.

One of the investigators asked Keadle if he knows cell phones can be tracked, and also asked him about DNA evidence.

Investigator Monty Lovelace testified on the stand that, Keadle’s testimony was evolving, as the investigation continued.
Prosecution witnesses continue to testify in the trial beng held in Gage County District Court, now in its second week.
