Sidney High School names new Activities Director
SIDNEY, NE - Sidney High School has a new Activities Director. The school announced the news on Twitter Tuesday. Paul Newland will take over the positions, starting in the 2020-21 school year.

SIDNEY, NE - Sidney High School has a new Activities Director. The school announced the news on Twitter Tuesday.
Paul Newland will take over the position, starting in the 2020-21 school year. Newland is currently the high school's Assistant Principal, according to the school's staff directory.
Newland has been with Sidney Public Schools since 2007. Other than Assistant Principal, he has also been a P.E. and Weights class teacher as well as Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at the High School.
He replaces Mike Brockhaus whom last month announced he was leaving Sidney to become Superintendent at Elgin Public Schools.
Newland will begin training for the position under Brockhaus, according to the social media post announcing the hiring.
