BEATRICE – Two pedestrians were struck and killed last Friday, along U.S. Highway 24 in northeast Kansas at the edge of Manhattan.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identifies the victims as 22-year-old Anthony Toler and 20-year-old Jayden Rosa…both of Manhattan.

The KHP says the two were walking west in the right-side lane of the highway, last Friday morning at about 4:55, when they were hit by a westbound Freightliner truck. The truck was driven by 65-year-old Lawrence Gassmann, of Manhattan…who was not injured.

Patrol officials say the highway accident happened in the area of the four-thousand block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard.
