Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden Nut Fry Fundraiser At Lorton Lounge This Wednesday.

Lorton - On Wednesday, January 22nd,  Lorton Lounge will host The Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden Nut Fry from 5pm to 8pm.  

 Rick Karas who helps with fundraising for the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden is looking forward to the event, as the funds raised help maintain the garden's beauty.  "The proceeds will go towards maintaining the garden and the flowers, and the way those people in Lorton take care of everybody I'm sure it's going to be great turn out".

 

 

Rick also emphasizes that the garden is for everyone, and that it is one of the must see attractions in the State of Nebraska. "This started from scratch, and it's amazing what the girls have done down here.  You really can't believe it until you come down and actually see it yourself.  We had a lot of Christmas lights this winter to set things off.  It's just a great place to go, we're going to have a band down there this spring in June. And when we say the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden we mean it's not just Humboldt and this area, it's all of Southeast Nebraska.  So whoever wants to get involved we're more than happy to have anybody down here".
