Strong winds in forecast through Saturday morning
A high wind warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Friday through 11 a.m. Saturday.
SIDNEY - Wind gusts of 65 MPH will be possible through Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
A high wind warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Friday through 11 a.m. Saturday for Cheyenne, Kimball, Banner and Scotts Bluff in Nebraska; Weld, Logan, Sedgwick and Phillips County in northeast Colorado; and Laramie and Goshen Counties in southeast Wyoming.
Sustained winds of 35 to 45 MPH are in the forecast. The strongest winds are expected Friday evening.
The weather service says travel will be hazardous, especially for light, high profile vehicles (i.e. camping and tractor trailers). There is a high risk for blow overs on north to south oriented sections of roads.
