COLUMBUS - The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is warning local businesses about suspicious phone calls they've gotten reports of.

The chamber said two local businesses told them they got calls from a company calling themselves All American Publishing and offered to sell advertising through T-shirt sales.

The chamber said it has seen no indication that this is a scam, but that the company's legitimacy is suspect.

They want to remind local merchants and organizations to ask lots of questions if they get calls like this.

“You know, ‘who are your customers?  What kind of products?  Let me see your website,’" President Jeanne Schieffer said.  "Ask questions before you engage in business with another business, unless you know them.”

The chamber said it's also a good idea to look the company up on the Better Business Bureau website to read about their business practices and customer reviews.
