Tri County, Palmyra, Sacred Heart big winners Tuesday - updated MUDECAS broadcast schedule
Recap of boys' MUDECAS first round action, and an updated broadcast schedule for Thursday's games.

BEATRICE - The first round of MUDECAS is complete for both the boys and the girls teams.
The boys took center stage Tuesday afternoon and evening In the A Division at the Beatrice Municipal Auditorium, No. 3 seed Tri County (8-4) trounced No. 6 seed BDS, 69-32. Junior Cole Siems was electric with a game-high 26 points, including five made three-pointers. Junior Lucas Weise had 17 points. Dalton Kleinschmidt led BDS (7-4) with 9 points.
Tri County will now face No. 2 seed Falls City Sacred Heart (12-0) in the semifinal. The Irish knocked off No. 7 seed Johnson County Central, 65-39. Tri County and Sacred Heart will meet on Thursday night at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. That game will be broadcast on KWBE - 1450 AM and 94.7 FM in the Beatrice area. It will also be simulcast on B103 (103.1 FM) in Nebraska City.
In other A Division action Tuesday, No. 1 seed Parkview Christian (7-3) defeated No. 8 seed Johnson-Brock, 54-43. In the final game of the day in the A Division bracket, No. 5 seed Palmyra (9-2) defeated No. 4 seed Freeman, 41-25. The Panthers will play Parkview Christian on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the auditorium.
Turning to the B Division, No. 1 seed Exeter-Milligan (7-5) had no problem with No. 8 seed Meridian, as the Timberwolves defeated the Mustangs, 58-32 , at the Truman Center on SCC's Beatrice campus.
Junior Jackson Beethe had a game-high 24 points. Ryan Sharp had 14. Corin Paul led Meridian (0-12) in scoring with 12 points.
Exeter-Milligan will now face No. 5 seed Southern in the B Division semifinal on Thursday evening at 6:30. That game will be broadcast on KUTT 99.5 FM. The Raiders (3-7) defeated Sterling Thursday, 54-35.
Elsewhere, No. 6 seed HTRS (3-8) survived a back-and-forth battle with Pawnee City, 47-44.
Finally, No. 2 seed Diller-Odell (6-5) survived a thriller against No. 7 seed Lewiston, 54-53. Junior Turner Faxon hit a game-winning layup with 2.7 seconds to go. Faxon finished with 9 points. Jacob Meyer paced the Griffins with 10.
Diller-Odell will meet HTRS in the B Division semifinal on Thursday night at 8 p.m. at SCC. This game will also be broadcast on KUTT 99.5 FM and be simulcast on 103.1 FM in Nebraska City.
