That mountain lion sighting near Omaha has gotten a lot more real, with the release of this photo and new information on just where the big cat was spotted.
According to the Sarpy County Sheriff's Department, which says the sighting is valid, the mountain lion was photographed by a homeowner in the early Thursday morning not far from main street Gretna.
We're told it was spotted in the area of McKenna and Westplains Road in the suburb southwest of Omaha.
The Sheriff's office tells us that the Nebraska Game and Parks Department has been notified and is working with local authorities.
The public is urged to contact the Sheriff's office is they see the mountain lion.
