SHICKLEY - With the recent reports of drone sightings, the Nebraska Public Power District wants to alert the public in Fillmore County of work that will be conducted using a drone.

NPPD’s contractor, UAV RECON, will fly a drone in the area near Shickley starting on Tuesday, January 14th for three days to inspect a high voltage transmission line.

Flights will start at 9 a.m. and end around 4 p.m. each day.

There will be no flights at night.

NPPD will be conducting inspections to identify defective wire issues.
