Winter Storm Watch to Impact Northeast Nebraska

NORTHEAST NEBRASKA - According to the National Weather Service, rain, snow, and freezing rain are poised to impact most of the area over this year's final weekend.
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been posted for portions of northeast Nebraska from Friday evening through Sunday morning.
This has been issued for most of western, central, and northeastern Nebraska, as well as portions of Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, and Minnesota.
This watch includes Boone, Antelope, Knox, Cedar and Pierce Counties. These areas will see mostly freezing rain and snow. Snowfall accumulations of up to 9" are possible with blowing snow possible as well.
Areas along and south of I-80 can anticipate mostly rain until early on Sunday morning with only minimal frozen precipitation before the system departs.
The primary impact of this winter storm will be due to snow and blowing snow in areas north, west, and near Norfolk.
Freezing rain's impact will be reduced thanks to temps warming above freezing Saturday afternoon.
Snow and ice accumulation forecasts may be dramatically altered with a temperature change of 1-2 degrees.
