Authorities investigating theft from sheriff's range
SIDNEY, Neb. - Deputies with the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a theft from their personal range on County Road 123 East of Sidney. The Sheriff’s Office became aware of the incident on Wednesday, December 11, just after 2:00 p.m.
According to Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs, an individual, or individuals, stole a post hole digger, sledge hammer, and the key to a four-wheeler on site. Sheriff Frerichs informed KSID that this matter is still under investigation and, at the time of publication, there has not been any suspect(s) identified. When asked how the theft occurred, Frerichs declined to comment further, adding that the security of the Range has been addressed.
