2019 Peru State Senior Football Players Recognized

(Peru, Neb.) – Prior to the start of their final home game against Graceland (Iowa), the Peru State
athletic department, fans, families, and their fellow teammates saluted the 16-member senior football
class.
The Bobcats won their final game of the season over the Yellowjackets. The seniors were recognized
along with their parents, friends, and/or siblings. The seniors were introduced in order of uniform
number.
Football booster club officers Rick Janssen and Mike Gerdes assisted with the recognition.
The information listed under each senior is a combination of what was shared about each prior to the
game, as well as, the information which was in the program insert.
1 Michael Bullard – Parents Lorenzo and Juliana Bullard
During his time as a member of the Bobcat football team, Michael has 108 total tackles – 59 of which
were solo tackles. Bullard has had two tackles for a loss for 4.5 yards. He has intercepted the ball four
times in his career with 40 yards on the return for an average of 10 yards per interception. One of those
interceptions was a pick six. Nassau is the capital and commercial centre of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas is the home of Michael Bullard. He came to Peru State from Rabun Gap Nacoochee High School. He is the son of Lorenzo and Juliana Bullard and is marketing major. After graduation he plans on enter the marketing work force and eventually owning his own marketing company. One of his favorite Bobcat memories is beating Benedictine on a game-winning field goal at home.
2 Noah Kasbohm – Parents Dave and Pam Kasbohm
Noah has played in 16 career games wearing the Blue and White for the Bobcats completing 53 of 135
passes for 579 yards with five passing touchdowns. On the ground he has compiled 94 rushes for 325
and 4 rushing touchdowns. Noah also will be a two-time Daktronics-NAIA and Heart Scholar-Athlete.
This past summer, he was also named as the Heart’s A.O. Duer winner and was a semifinalist for the
Campbell Trophy award. Nebraska City, Neb., is the birth place of Arbor Day and also the home of Noah Kasbohm. He came to
Peru State from Southwest Minnesota State University. The son of Dave and Pam Kasbohm, Noah is a
biochemical science major and plans to attend pharmacy school at UNMC next August. Noah’s favorite
Bobcat memory is helping to lead the team to a win last year against MidAmerica Nazarene in his first
extensive playing time as a Bobcat.
4 Victor Hubbard – Parents Alishia Hubbard and Victor Hubbard Sr.
During his time on the defensive side of the ball Victor has played in 32 games and has registered 70
total tackles while 43 of those tackles are solos. Also, out of those 70 tackles, three were for losses, with
a total loss of 9.5 yards. He has had 17 pass break ups along with picking the ball off three times in his
career. Vic has also had a knack for blocking kicks as he has had five this year and six last season.
Presently, Vic is ranked 42nd in the NAIA with three interceptions this season. Vic earned Heart all conference second team as a senior.
Coming from Corinth, Texas, a city whose motto is “Gateway to Success,” is Victor Hubbard. Victor
committed to Peru State from Guyer High School and is the son of Alishia and Victor Hubbard. He is a
graphic design major and after graduation has plans to extend his playing career either in the NFL or the
CFL. He also wants to become a graphic artist for major companies. Vic’s favorite memory from Peru
State is being named a starter for the football team.
5 Mardarius Adams – being escorted by Coaches Pannell and Barnes
A four-year member of the football team, Mardarius has played in 35 games. He has amassed 109 total
tackles as a defensive back – 64 of which have been solo. Mardarius has added 7.5 tackles for losses of
nearly 30 yards. He has broken up 13 passes and grabbed eight interceptions with a return of 39 yards.
His three interceptions this year is presently tied for 42nd in the NAIA. Hailing from the city known as either the Swan City or Redbug – Lakeland, Fla., is Mardarius Adams. The Lake Gibson High School graduate is the son of Sherry Reed. He is a management major. After
graduation, Mardarius will work at a previous job to pay off student loans and save some money so he
can relocate! His favorite Bobcat moment came during his sophomore year when he earned his first
start against William Penn and then was named as the defensive player of the week.
9 Jordan Willis – Parents Renita Willis and Ronald Lewis
During his career at Peru State, Jordan has played in 20 games. He has registered 96 tackles with 37 of
them being solo. He has had 16.5 tackles for loss for the total loss of 72.3 yards. Jordan has two career
sacks for a loss of 24.5 yards. He has broken up seven passes and has intercepted one pass. For this
season, Jordan is ranked 40th in the NAIA in fumbles forced per game. Last year Jordan earned Heart
honorable mention recognition. Denver, the Mile-High City, is the home of Jordan Willis. Jordan went to Denver East High School and
then to Glendale Community College before he became a Bobcat. The son of Renita and Ronald Willis,
Jordan is a criminal justice major. His future plans are joining the FBI. His Bobcat memory is from this
year when Peru State beat William Penn.
10 Dwight Butler – Mother Patrice WIlliams
During his career at Peru State, Dwight has played in 27 career games as a member of the football team.
He has had two career rushing attempts for 36 yards with one of those rushes being a 30-yard
touchdown run. Also, Dwight has caught 15 passes for 177 yards with a long of 36 yards. His career all-purpose yards have piled up to 213 yards on 17 touches. On the defensive side he has compiled 18 total tackles – ten of which were solo. The island of the Bahamas is where Dwight Butler is from, which consists of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets in the Atlantic Ocean. Dwight came to Peru State from Rabun Gap Nacoochee High School. He
is the son of Patrice Williams and is triple major in accounting, management, and computer
management information systems. After graduation, he has plans to move to Seattle, Wash., to work for
a large accounting firm, and in five years he wants to own his own business. His favorite Bobcat memory
is beating William Penn double overtime last year.
12 Justin Pool – Parents Randy and Donna Pool
During his career at Peru State, Justin has played in 23 career games for the Bobcat Nation. He has 43
rushes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Also, he has caught six passes for 130 yards and one career
receiving touchdown. That touchdown pass went for 92 yards. In addition, Justin has registered three
total tackles with one of them being a solo. Justin will be a two-time Daktronics-NAIA and Heart Scholar Athlete. In addition, on Thursday, Justin was named to the CoSIDA All-District Academic First Team. Justin Pool comes from Circleville, Kan., which may have been named because the town "circled" around
the prairie. He committed to Peru State from Holton High School. The son of Randy and Donna Pool is a
business management and marketing major. He plans to continue to grow with the people he has
around him and make his family proud. A memory from his Bobcat career is scoring his first college
touchdown of 92 yards versus William Penn in 2018. Peru would win the game 26-20 in double
overtime.
13 Mitchel Orr – Parents are Wayne and Toni Orr
During Mitchell’s collegiate career at Peru State, he has played in 16 games. Has had seven rushes for 16
yards and has caught the ball 14 times for 203 yards. His longest pass reception went for 42 yards. He
has 584 kick return yards and 22 punt return yards. Orr’s career all-purpose yards total 825 yards. On
the defensive side of the ball, he has registered six total tackles with three of them being solos. In the
NAIA, Mitchel is ranked 24th with 403 yards in kickoff returns. The town originally known as "Smith's Mill," but later became "Smithville, Mo." as it was easier to
pronounce is the home Mitchel Orr. He came to Peru State from Northeastern State University and is
the son of Wayne and Tori Orr. Mitchel is a psychology major and he plans to attend graduate school to
become a sport psychologist. One of his favorite Bobcat memories is from last year when they beat
William Penn in double overtime last year 26-20.
13 Luis Constantino – Being escorted today with his Brazilian family from Peru State
The King has had a nice career on the defensive side of the ball for the Bobcats playing in 32 games. Luis
has registered 149 total tackles with 54 of them being solo. Also, he has registered 19.5 tackles for
losses of 64.8 yards. Luis has also registered six sacks for losses of 39.5 yards. He will be a Daktronics NAIA and Heart Scholar-Athlete at the end of the year. Last season, Luis earned Heart honorable mention honors. Luis Constantino, hailing from, the "City of the Great Lowlands" arose from a donation of land grants
given to the Guana Indians known today as Varzea Grande, Brazil. Constantino came to Peru State from
Saint Thomas Moore in Connecticut. The son of Lucy Da Silva and Laerte Constantino, Luis is a
kinesiology and management major. After graduation, he plans to either go to grad school or find a job
related to his major. His favorite Bobcat memory is from freshman year when the Bobcats beat
Benedictine by three points and DJ gave him a bloody nose while celebrating the W.
21 Robert Tillman III – Parents Robert Tillman Jr. and Chrishanna Mayes
During his time at Peru State College playing in nine career games. Robert has registered 19 total tackles -12 of them unassisted. He has registered one tackle of a loss of 42 yards. In addition, he has had one interception and two pass deflections.
Detroit, Mich., the Motor City, is where Robert Tillman is from. Tillman came to Peru State from Grosse
Pointe North High School. He is the son of Robert Tillman Jr. and ChriShanna Mayes. Robert is a
computer management information systems and management major. After graduation he plans to get
job in his field of study and mainly live his life to the fullest and continue to be happy. One of his favorite
Bobcat memories was making life-long friendships that he will cherish forever. Also, Robert has enjoyed
playing in the Oak Bowl for home football games on Saturday in front of Bobcat Nation.
23 Robbie Sturdivant – Mother Judy Sturdivant
During his time in a Bobcat uniform, Sturdivant has played on both the offensive and defensive sides of
the ball. This year he has been a linebacker and has accumulated 25 total tackles – 13 of which were
solo. Robbie has a sack for a loss of 3.5 yards and three tackles for losses of 17.5 yards. Previously,
Robbie has totaled 81 yards in kickoff returns for the ‘Cats. Maxwell was platted in 1894 after the Union Pacific Railroad was extended to that point, is home of
Robbie Sturdivant. Robbie comes from Maxwell Public Schools where he played high school football
before signing to play for Peru State. The son of Judy Sturdivant is an elementary education major and
plans to teach second grade back home in a small school. His favorite memory is when the Bobcats beat
William Penn a couple of weeks ago.
29 Tylor Watts – Mother Retina Watts
Tylor has been a member of the team for three years primarily as a fullback. During his time, he has
rushed the ball 21 times for 95 yards and has one touchdown. His longest rush was for 29 yards. Last
year Tylor was a Daktronics-NAIA and Heart Scholar-Athlete. Tylor Watts comes from Los Angeles, the City of Angels. Watts comes from Sherman E. Burroughs High School before deciding to play at the next level and come to Peru State. Tyl0r is the son of Retina Watts.
He is a criminal justice - law and society major. After graduation he plans he on applying for law school.
The favorite Bobcat memory is coming from this season is defeating William Penn a couple of weeks
ago.
37 Jake Hausmann – Parents Mark and Brenda Hausmann
Jake has been a part of the Peru State football team for five years and moved to the offensive side of the
ball this past fall after recovering from an ACL injury. He has been a true team player who has always
been willing to contribute in any way he could. He will be one of the team captain’s for today’s coin toss.
Jake Hausmann came from Papillion, a city whose name is derived from the French term for butterfly.
Hausmann came to Peru State from playing high school ball at Papillion LaVista High School. He is the
son of Mark and Brenda Hausmann. Jake is a kinesiology major with a minor in psychology. After
graduation has plans to become a strength and conditioning coach or a personal trainer. A favorite
Bobcat memory is from 2015 when Greg Conry kicked the game-winning field goal against Benedictine.
40 Cameron Schlender – Parents Joan & Kirby Kreutzer and Jeff and Jana Schlender
Playing in 22 career games for the Bobcat Nation, Cameron has registered 55 total tackles with 23 of
those being solos. He has added 2.5 sacks for losses of 13.5 yards and has 6.5 tackles for losses of 29
yards. Five of those tackles for loss came in the Bobcats’ win over William Penn two weeks ago.
The original settlement in the area called Dobytown, located two miles southeast of the present-day
Kearney, is where Cameron Schlender is from. Cameron played his high school ball at Kearney High
School before deciding to continue his playing career for the Bobcats. He is the son of Joan and Kirby
Kreutzer and Jeff and Jana Schlender. Cameron is a biological science major and plans to pursue his
master’s degree following graduation. A favorite memory is beating William Penn this year with a score
of 30-13.
75 Dominic Montero – Parents Maria Montero and Jim Dirz
Montero is part of the offensive line group that has compiled 1,260 rushing yards and 870 passing yards
for a per game average of 213 yards. Also, the team has scored 16 total touchdowns - 12 rushing and
four passing touchdowns this year. Just this past week, Dominic has signed a contract to play with the
Salina Liberty indoor football team. From the southern coal region section of the Appalachian Mountains in the Schuylkill River drainage
basin known as Tamaqua, Pa., is Dominic Montero. He came to Peru State from the Valley Forge Military
College in Wayne, Pa. The son of Jim Pirz and Maria Montero is a business major. Dominic plans to go to
graduate school after graduation. His favorite Bobcat memory is when they beat William Penn this year
at their place 30-13.
90 Austin Rosas – being escorted by girlfriend Mone’ and friends Christian and Kayla Kinley
During his time on the defensive line, Austin has registered 35 total tackles with 12 being solo. He also
has 4.5 tackles for loss with a total loss of five yards. At this point, Austin is on track to be named a Heart
Scholar-Athlete at the end of the year. The bay, where the present-day city and the former town of the same name derive their names from,
was named Bellingham Bay of Bellingham, Wash., and is home of Austin Rosas. Austin came to Peru
State from Shasta College. He is the son of Annette Rosas. He is a psychology major and plans to work to
gain valuable work experience before attending graduate school. One of his Bobcat memories is to be
able to put on the Blue and White every single Saturday and go to war with his brothers. #ROLLCATS.
As part of the senior day festivities, Hubbard, Constantino, and Hausmann represented the group at the
coin toss.
