A donor will triple donations given to Hastings College during the holiday season.

HASTINGS - A donor will triple donations given to Hastings College during the holiday season.
"One dollar to five dollars, I do as big as happy dance for those. If people could see how excited I get at any gift that comes in, I think they would be surprised," said Alicia O'Donnell, Annual Giving Director.Any donations made between now and December 31st will be tripled. The donations should be made to the technology and travel program. Staff are looking to alumni as well as people living in the community that don't normally give to help out.
O'Donnell says the triple donations to the two programs will benefit students as well as the community in the long run.
"It is really important to have money for our students here for the technology fund in order to prepare them for a very technology world and allow them to compete in whatever field they go into,' said Steven Dunham, Student Engagement, Hastings College.
As many students stay in the area after graduation they say the donations are just as important to those living in Hastings as it is sentimental to alumni.
