Families from all over northeast Nebraska came to Norfolk over the weekend for the third annual Ties and Tiaras Dance held by Faith Regional Health Services.
The event is held annually at the DeVent Center in Norfolk to give families in the area a chance to spend time together and have some fun.
However, Faith Regional also hosts the dance to give back to the community.
"The focus of this event is to be a community event for kids and families of all ages to come out and enjoy," Faith Regional Foundation Coordinator Samantha Wolfe said.
"But also, we want to do a little good for the community and make sure that we continue to meet the pediatric needs here in our region," Wolfe said.
Every year, the hospital donates the funds earned from the event to an organization or service in Nebraska.
This year, all profits are set to go toward the Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Center, an organization that provides services to child abuse victims the region.
Wolfe explains that the event brought in over 400 guests last year and raised over $30,000 for the Advocacy Center.
Faith Regional is hoping the event will continue to grow for future families in northeast Nebraska.
