GRAND ISLAND - A two-vehicle crash led to a slowdown of traffic during rush hour Tuesday in downtown Grand Island.

A van crashed into a car that authorities say had the right of way on intersection of 2nd Street and Eddy Street in Grand Island.

Grand Island police tell KSNB that the crash happened just before 5 pm when the van ran the red light at the intersection. The van crashed into a vehicle, rolling it over on its side.

Authorities reduced traffic to just one lane while they worked the scene.

Fortunately, all involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the van was cited by police for the traffic violation.
