SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE -- Northeast Nebraska police say Sunday night's snow helped officers find two suspects and a stolen car.

According to a Facebook post on the South Sioux City Police page, officers were assisting Dakota County Deputies in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle just before midnight Sunday when they lost sight of the car in the falling snow.

The post says officers followed tire tracks in the snow to find the stolen car in an alley. Police then followed footprints to find Narciso Paniagua. He was arrested for possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

The post says officers also found Jason Rice in the area. He said he had been stabbed and had an open wound to the abdomen. He was transported to a hospital. Rice is accused of possession of stolen property.
