NORFOLK - Saturday morning, the Briggs and Barrett project hosted a gathering at their Nursery for Hope for families who have lost their children.

Each tree in the nursery is dedicated to a family and their baby. There are 34 at Skyview Lake just west of 25th street in Norfolk. Two more are near the splash pad at Embrace Park.

Families say events like these can help with the grieving process because they know they’re not alone.

The Briggs and Barrett Project The Briggs and Barrett Project has dedicated itself to spreading awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS and how to prevent it. They also hold memorial and remembrance events like these to keep the memories of those lost alive.
