Lakewood Ranch, Flor.,--Chloe and Ellie Kuckelman take home second after falling to Florida in the doubles final at the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic at the Lakewood Ranch Tennis Club. The Husker team defeated Michigan, Appalachian State, and Oklahoma State to advance to the championship match.
 
In Sunday's final, the freshman twins out of Overland Park, Kan., fell to the duo of Tsveta Dimitrova and Marlee Zein, 8-2. In the 2019 regular season, Dimitrova was a standout doubles player for the Gators earning two wins in the NCAA championships. Zein was named to the 2019 SEC All-Freshman team after going 18-17 in doubles. 
 
Up Next: NU has completed the fall tournament slate and will resume play on Jan. 18 with a double-header against Sacramento State and South Dakota at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln.
