Effects from raid reach local schools
Madison Public School's Crisis team helps with families affected by immigration raids.

MADISON - The immigration raid in Madison Wednesday morning affected more than just D & D Industries.
When Madison Public Schools learned that over a dozen people were apprehended, they immediately started taking the measures necessary to help kids that may be impacted by the events.
The first step was to notify the school district's crisis team, who was tasked with monitoring kids across all Madison schools.
The District estimates that only a few families in the school system will be directly impacted by the raids - and most, if not all of those families have at least one legal guardian for the kids to go home to. Still, the district knows the ripple effect will run through the school, and faculty is ready to step up.
There have been no announcements indicating any changes to the regular school schedule.
