High honor for three high school musicians from Nebraska City

Luke Partsch, Lillian Frields and Paul Shawhan were selected to Nebraska all-state ensembles.

NEBRASKA CITY - A trio of students from Nebraska City were chosen from approximately 3,000  high school musicians for one of the highest music honors attainable in Nebraska.

Lourdes Central Catholic junior Paul Shawhan and Nebraska City High School junior Lillian Frields were selected to the Nebraska Music Educators Association All-State Choir. It's the second time Frields was selected.

For the fourth-straight year, Lourdes senior Luke Partsch (french horn) was selected for all-state band.

The three musicians will perform - under the direction of Colonel Jason Fettig, Director of "The President's Won" United State Marine Band - on Nov. 23 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln. Artist Director and Conductor of the Salt Lake Choral Artist, Dr. Brady Allred will be a guest conductor.
