Woman Assaults Nurse at Hospital

LINCOLN - A woman is in jail after assaulting a nurse at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln.

LPD says that around 5 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the waiting room of Bryan East on a report of a disturbance.

On arrival, officers contacted several nurses, who reported that 23-year-old Tra-Anna Sledge was upset because she felt she was not being seen in a timely fashion.

Police say Sledge threw a clipboard against a glass partition, and then threw a bottle of hand sanitizer at a nurse, causing minor injuries.

Officers cited and lodged Sledge for Assault on a Health Care Professional.
