BLAIR - Nebraska City placed two golfers in the top ten and claimed the runner-up trophy at the Class B-1 District Golf Tournament Monday at River Wilds Golf Course in Blair.

The second place finish, 47 strokes behind district champion Omaha Duchesne Academy, qualifies the Pioneers for the Nebraska School Activities Association State Golf Championships next Monday and Tuesday in Columbus.

Nebraska City was led by Brynn Bohlen. The junior shot an 86 to finish in fourth place. Another junior, Sydney Blum, shot a 91 and finished in sixth place. 

Duchesne senior Lauren Goertz won the individual title with a 71.
