Kyle Klepper remembered as "a simple, easy going young man with a heart of gold"

PAWNEE CITY - Kyle Klepper was an easy going young man that loved fishing, hunting, tractor and truck pulls, and driving his go-cart he helped build. His passions included his family, the Boy Scouts of America and video games. But, most of all, he loved working on his 1981 Chevy truck he was proud of getting from his big brother, Kenneth.
Kyle was creative and very smart. He was good with electronics and loved to build anything that gave him a challenge.
On Sept. 21, Kyle passed away from injuries he sustained in a car accident outside his hometown of Pawnee City. He was 15 and a sophomore at Pawnee City High School.
He transferred from Lewiston Consolidated Schools to Pawnee City in fifth grade, because he and his siblings - Kenneth, Katelynn, Spencer and Ashlynn - all agreed to graduate from the same school their dad and many other family members did. Another sibling, Adam Quincy, lives in Virginia.
Other survivors include his parents, Herbert and Laurie; and grandparents, Herbert Klepper, Jerry and Mary Malik, and Donna Fricke.
Funeral services for Kyle will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Pawnee City High School Gymnasium. Visitation is being held until 8 p.m. Friday at Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City. Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
