COLUMBUS - An active shooter DRILL is set to take place on the Columbus campus of Central Community College this morning.
A press release from CCC reads as follows: Today (Tuesday), an active shooter drill will be conducted at the Columbus Campus from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Agencies from Columbus, Platte County, the state police, along with CCC, will take part in the exercise to practice emergency response activities. Remember, this is only a drill. CCC will not be using the RAVE system for this exercise, but campus announcements will be made throughout. Anyone who will be on campus should feel free to alert family and/or friends in the event they hear about an emergency situation on the campus.
