Clerk assaulted in attempted gas station robbery

OMAHA - Omaha police say a clerk was assaulted during an attempted robbery early Thursday morning.

Police say the would-be robber jumped the counter at the Bucky's Express gas station near 60th and Center streets, demanded money and assaulted the clerk.

Investigators say the suspect did not take anything and was last seen running away.

Police described the man as being average size with a dark gray shirt, gray pants and a white face covering.

Police say the clerk suffered minor injuries in the assault.
