FALLS CITY - The Falls City football team spent the offseason developing their offense at 7-on-7 camps and the Tigers are already seeing results in the first two weeks of the season.

Falls City, who is 2-0 this year, is averaging 158 yards per game through the air and 108.5 yards a game on the ground. Kade Bredemeier is 16-34 for 316 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Drake Butler leads the team on the ground with 79 yards on 11 carries.

Head Coach Darin Fritz says Bredemeier has seen great improvement in Bredemeier, who worked extra hard this summer.

"Kade Bredemeier, our quarterback, has really put in a ton of work with our receivers. It’s showing and they feel comfortable with it. They’re doing good with the passing game."

The Tigers host Syracuse (0-2) at 7 p.m. on Friday at Jug Brown Stadium. News Channel Nebraska will have coverage of the game on B103 (103.1 FM, b103.fm).
