Beatrice Man Arrested For Violation of Ordinance Revision
BEATRICE – A Beatrice man was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of violating a relatively new ordinance revision in Beatrice.
Police were summoned twice to a residence in the eight-hundred block of North 4th, where loud music being played drew a complaint from the area.
Police Lieutenant Jay Murphy says the man was ordered to turn down the sound on two visits by police and was warned twice. He was told that if police had to return to area a third time for continued loud music, he would be arrested.
Police had to return a third time at around 8:30 p.m, for a complaint.
Officers ended up arresting 43-year-old Samuel Ridgley, on suspicion of disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and maintaining a disorderly house.
Murphy said records indicate that this year, police have answered a dozen noise complaints at the same house, issued eight warnings and one citation. Last night’s arrest was the third police have made this year, connected to that location.
