Huskers Ranked in Midwest Region

The Nebraska men's cross country team will enter the season ranked No. 8, while the Husker women will begin at No. 11 in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Rankings released on Monday.
The men's No. 8 regional ranking is their highest preseason ranking since joining the Big Ten and their best ranking since beginning at No. 7 in the 2010 preseason rankings. The Huskers, who were ranked as high as No. 8 last year, finished eighth at the NCAA Midwest Regional in 2018.
The Big Red women will begin the season at No. 11. This is the first time the Nebraska women have been ranked in the preseason since 2011, when the Huskers were No. 8. Last season, the women's team finished No. 14 at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
Nebraska opens the season at Augustana Twilight on Friday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
