HASTINGS - The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Hall and Adams County until Saturday evening.

The NWS out of Hastings says steady to at times heavy rainfall is expected off and on through much of the day, which will result in continued minor flooding in the advisory area. The NWS says the flooding will include street flooding, and flooding of rural area creeks as an additional 1-2.5 inches of rainfall is expected today.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Grand Island, Hastings, Doniphan, Juniata, Hansen, and Alda. A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for the following Nebraska counties until 7:00 PM this evening: Adams, Buffalo, Dawson, Franklin, Furnas, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Harlan, Howard, Kearney, Phelps, Sherman, Valley, and Webster.

The threat of severe weather has been causing difficulties at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, as officials are not allowing on-site parking at the Fair today. Attendees are being encouraged to park on off-site locations and use the Fair's free express shuttle services.

The State Fair parade has also been canceled due to the weather.
