The Kearney man arrested for attacking a jogger near the UNK campus last month may now face a lengthy prison term.
KEARNEY - The Kearney man arrested for attacking a jogger near the UNK campus last month may now face a lengthy prison term.
20-year-old Keith Barrett pled no contest to felony Terroristic Threats and misdemeanor Third Degree Assault.
He's scheduled to be sentenced in November and the max penalty for the felony is 20 years in prison.
Police say the assault happened in July when a 31-year-old woman was tackled to the ground by a man that had ridden up behind her on a bicycle.
He also made threats to the woman, who was able to fight him off.
